Isolation Work - Week Beginning Monday 17th January

English - Week beginning 17th January

In English this week, we are planning and beginning to write our myth narrative based on Arthur and the Golden Rope. Here you will find a PowerPoint to guide you through activities to help you plan your story and by the end of the week, you can write your introduction to the story.

VIPERS - Week beginning 17th January

Throughout this week, we are concentrating on the character of Grendel in Michael Morpurgo's Beowulf. We have been really enjoying the story so far. Here is a PowerPoint of activities to complete based upon our first impressions of Grendel.

Maths - Week beginning 17th January

We are continuing work on Multiplication this week and moving on to HTO x O. Attached is a PowerPoint of activities to complete which includes some reasoning activities to apply your knowledge. We are also working on our 7 times tables this week. Use the link attached in the PowerPoint to find a fun way to learn your 7 times tables.

English - Week Beginning 10th January

This week, we are analysing the sentence and text structure of the Example Text. A PowerPoint is attached below, which includes the Example Text and a selection of activities, explained on all of the slides. All of the activities refer back to the Example Text on Slide one.

 

Art - Week beginning 10th January

In our Art lesson this week, we are thinking about pattern formations in Batik technique. Using the PowerPoint below, carry out some research using the slides to take notes from.

RE - Week Beginning 10th January

Last week, we considered why believers pray and how, when we might pray. This week we are learning about how Jesus prayed. Follow the PowerPoint attached below, which shares with you examples from the Bible about how Jesus prayed and a video link of how he taught his disciples to pray. Complete the activities on the slides.

Maths - Week beginning 5th January

In our Maths work this week, we are continuing our work on multiplication and learning our 11 and 12 times tables, using a variety of strategies. You will find various activities on the slides to work on and questions to answer.

VIPERS - Week Beginning 5th January

In our Guided Reading Vipers lessons, we are immersing ourselves in a fantastic new book - Beowulf. Using the PowerPoint below, follow the slides to make your initial predictions about the story of Beowulf based on the front cover and the blurb. A copy of the blurb is also attached below.

Art - Week Beginning 5th January

This week, we are learning about the origin of Batik textile printing before we set out to design and create our own Batik cloth in the coming weeks. Using the PowerPoint below, research the wax resist technique, making notes about the origins and process of Batik.
