Welcome to the St Andrew's School PTA page

Who is in the PTA?

Anyone who has a child in the school can join the PTA.

There is no voting to become a member on the PTA or to attend a meeting, nor is there a lifelong commitment.

Our meetings are usually held on a Wednesday in the staff room of the school at 6:45pm unless otherwise stated. 

Everybody is welcome, and we are always looking for new parents to attend. Please just turn up if you've got a bit of spare time or email us at  to let us know you're coming - it's great to have new ideas or to have a different perspective. Maybe you have got some ideas from other schools or events that we could share. We are always willing to listen to new ideas that can generate funds for our school and help support our children.


Please get involved - after all it is for the children!!!





Listed below are the meetings planned for the next academic year. We will aim to stick to these dates as best we can.

If there are any changes they will appear on the website, twitter and the St Andrew's Families facebook group.

All meetings listed below will take place in the school staff room at 6.45pm.

Any months where we aren't meeting at school we may arrange a meeting at an alternative venue - again this will be publicised nearer the time.  




Co-op Community Fund

Our PTA is one of the three chosen charities to be supported by the Co-op community fund up until October 2018. Please pop into our local store and pick up a Co-op membership card. You will then be able to get 5% back of all the money you spend on Co-op branded products as well as donating 1% of your spend to our PTA. All it will cost is £1 to set up your membership card. Please choose us as the charity you wish to support. 



A big thank you to everyone who supported or attended our kids car boot sale on 27th April, despite the weather being so different from last year everyone still had a great time and people left happy with the bargains they had picked up! 

We raised a fantastic £470.30 with Year Two coming out as the winning year group getting themselves a tea party later in the term. 




Friday 6th October saw our first event of the year, our balloon race. Everyone had a great time seeing the hundreds of balloons float off into the distance and as ever it was lovely to welcome our new Reception families into our school family at this event too!

We made £395.64 at the event and were really pleased with the amount of balloon slips which were returned to the school this year. Well done to all of the children who joined in with the race and congratulations to our lucky winner!

Summer Fair - Saturday 7th July - 12.00pm - 3.00pm.

Our final event of the year is fast approaching and we are hoping for a lovely sunny day like last year! 

Come along and join us for games, refreshments, face paints, bouncy castles, tombolas and much much more.

School Donations

Last year we made a great many donations to the school to help buy extra equipment for our children. We will keep you informed of any purchases that we make over the coming year.




Join our Giving Machine

Joining the St Andrews Giving Machine is simple and raises money for the school without costing you a penny! 

Once you become a member of the Giving Machine simply log on to their site and you can be redirected to hundreds of popular online shops. Complete your shopping as normal and a percentage of your spend will be donated to our account, it really is that easy. 

You can either register yourself at or email your name, email address and postcode to and we will set everything up for you and email you when your account is ready to go!

Our PTA is now a member of the PTA social community meaning that we can manage events online and you can get involved with a few simple clicks, all you have to do is register using the following link: 


Once we have approved you to join the group you will have access to all of the ongoing tasks for our events and can simply tick to say if / when you can help, you can also post messages if you have any particular questions / ideas to share with us. You will then receive an email to confirm your choices but don't worry if something comes up and you can't help out then you can simply opt out through the site too.
