Welcome to the St Andrew's School PTA page
Who is in the PTA?
Anyone who has a child in the school can join the PTA.
There is no voting to become a member on the PTA or to attend a meeting, nor is there a lifelong commitment.
Our meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month in the staff room of the school at 6:45pm unless otherwise stated.
Everybody is welcome, and we are always looking for new parents to attend. Please just turn up if you've got a bit of spare time or email us at email@example.com to let us know you're coming - it's great to have new ideas or to have a different perspective. Maybe you have got some ideas from other schools or events that we could share. We are always willing to listen to new ideas that can generate funds for our school and help support our children.
Please get involved - after all it is for the children!!!
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 8th February 2017 at 6.45pm in the staff rooom. Please come and join us if you can as we continue to plan out some fun events for the rest of the year.

KIDS CAR BOOT SALE
This might have been a new event for us but it was a huge success. The children loved bringing in some of their old books and toys and buying back some new things to take home with them! The sun shone and staff, parents and children came together to buy, sell and enjoy refreshments for an hour after school.
The competition was close but the year group who raised the most on their stall were Year 4. The children will enjoy an afternoon tea party nearer the end of the year.
Overall we made a fantastic £572.08, watch this space to see where we spend the money!
MOTHERS DAY FLOWERS
We knew this was going to be popular again this year and we weren't wrong. We made a fantastic profit of £268.31 and made a lot of ladies very happy with their beautiful bunches of flowers.
CHRISTMAS CARD PROJECT
We received a hige volume of orders for this project again this year and people weren't disappointed with the cards and accessories they received. Your orders made a wonderful £359.80 for the school which will go towards our current projects.
Our Christmas Fair was a great success again this year. It was really well attended and we had lots of positive feedback. We raised a fantastic £1887.85 which will be going towards different projects within the school this year.
Friday 30th September saw our annual balloon race, an event that the whole school really look forward to. The staff, children and new Reception parents enjoyed coming together on the school field to release hundreds of balloons. We now just need to wait and see how far the balloons travel and who will win the £50 prize for travelling the furthest!
This is the most successful balloon race we have ever had raising a superb £521.36 for PTA funds.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event through buying balloons and all who took part in the organisation too.
Saturday 8th July 2017 - Summer Fair - 12.00 noon - 3.00pm.
One of our biggest fundraisers of the year and an event not to be missed.
There will be fun for everyone with bouncy castles, games, tombolas, a raffle, cafe, facepainting, glitter tattoos and much, much more. More information will be provided nearer the time through this page, newsletters and social media.
At our January meeting we were asked to purchase some new bibles for the school. These will be used across both Key Stages to enable the children to become familiar with this important book. They wil be able to locate and read stories as well as being able to use the bibles to help with their written work. In total we purchased 20 bibles for £175.91.
We have also contributed half of the cost of the new school "Parent App" - enabling our school to communicate as efficiently as possible with all parents.
In March we purchased two new projectors for Reception and Year 6 to enable the children to use the class interactive whiteboards as part of their daily lessons. The two projectors cost £ 559.98.
Wraparound have also been able to purchase some new games and colouring books for use before and after school. We contributed £70 to this.
The PTA also felt it was important to support the church with the car park repairs and have contributed £1000 this year with a further £1000 promised for next year too. We reached this decision quite easily as the church car park is hugely important to the school community at the beginning and end of the day - without it we would be really stuck!
Our PTA is now a member of the PTA social community meaning that we can manage events online and you can get involved with a few simple clicks, all you have to do is register using the following link:
Once we have approved you to join the group you will have access to all of the ongoing tasks for our events and can simply tick to say if / when you can help, you can also post messages if you have any particular questions / ideas to share with us. You will then receive an email to confirm your choices but don't worry if something comes up and you can't help out then you can simply opt out through the site too.

Join our Giving Machine
Joining the St Andrews Giving Machine is simple and raises money for the school without costing you a penny!
Once you become a member of the Giving Machine simply log on to their site and you can be redirected to hundreds of popular online shops. Complete your shopping as normal and a percentage of your spend will be donated to our account, it really is that easy.
